# Sara Shokranian Source: https://hello.cv/sarashokranian ## About I am a Doctoral Candidate in the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Doctoral Network "ARCTECH – Harnessing the Potential of Archaea: Training Europe’s Next Visionaries for an Innovative and Sustainable Future" (Horizon MSCA 101120407). This pioneering European research training program is dedicated to advancing archaeal research and its biotechnological applications, with a strong focus on sustainable innovation. As a PhD student in Natural Sciences at the University of Duisburg-Essen, I am conducting my research in the Department of Chemistry under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Bettina Siebers. In collaboration with Microbify GmbH, where I work under the guidance of Linda Dengler, my work focuses on developing biofilm formation assays for anaerobic archaea and bacteria and investigating their role in microbiologically influenced corrosion (MIC) in gas and hydrogen storage infrastructures. ## Work ### PhD student | Microbify GmbH ## Education ### University of Duisburg-Essen | PhD ### Hormozgan University | M.Sc. in Environmental and Industrial Biotechnology ### Gonbad Kavous University | B.Sc. in Cellular and Molecular Biology ## Publications ### Investigating the bioremoval ability of crude oil by bacteria isolated from oil-contaminated soil around Shiraz refinery Aquatic Physiology and Biotechnology journal-article ### A review of biological methods for the removal of oil contaminants and the importance of bioremediation based on oil-eating bacteria 1st National Conference on Modern Researches in Biological Sciences, Gonbad Kavous University conference-poster ## Source Read this profile on Hello.cv: https://hello.cv/sarashokranian Create your free profile at https://hello.cv
